A Look at Trina Turk for Banana Republic: Launches 6/7

Trina Turk’s collaboration with Banana Republic, as many people know, launches in just a few weeks.  These very colourful, summer and warm-weather pieces are a great addition to your wardrobe and would look great whether you’re in the city, up at the cottage, the beach or away on vacation.  Looks include dresses, tops, bottoms as well as swim and accessories.  The patterns and colours are definitely bold – but still a little more subtle and sophisticated than H&M’s collaboration with Versace.  And of course, many of the pieces can be made more subtle, office-appropriate, even (e.g. the trouser skirt below paired with one of the patterned tops), by adding other elements to them.  Some favourites include:

It’s interesting that they’re launching the looks in June – I would have liked to see it released a little earlier – maybe early May or even before, but I assume that it was because of other commitments and contracts for both companies.  The pieces range between $60 and $150 and will be available online and at Banana Republic stores while they last.  Though I don’t anticipate craziness like you’d get at H&M or the DVF for Gap Kids, I think many of the pieces would quickly.
