Today, she is the breadwinner in her family, with both her husband and brother working in her business.
Amber Mac addresses attendees
It was an emotional talk that began in her childhood but became truly heartfelt when she spoke about a key, defining moment of her life. She had been working in a corporate position when her grandmother became critically ill and her boss and company did not appreciate the space and time she needed then. So, she hung up on a key conference call and realized she wanted to work with and for people who cared about her as a whole, not just a cog in the wheel.
These experiences helped her formulate seven key tips to success which included Being Out Front, Timing is Everything, Supporting a Cause, Choosing the Right Tools, Listening Well, Protecting Your Privacy and Adapting to Change. She also shared her current three favourite and most useful applications – Freshbooks, docuSign and HaikuDeck. Mac’s two year old son also featured in her speech by video, demonstrating how gifted the young are today with iPads and cutting edge technology.

In her keynote, Mac gave the keynote at Brand U Fabulous after meeting Positive Fabulous Women founder Katia Millar and bonding over their common values.
Other riveting speakers included Steve Lowell, Laura Furtado and Donna Marie Antoniadis. Proceeds from the event went for Nellie’s Shelter including partial proceeds from sales of jewelry by Work for Widows.
