Ann Taylor and LOFT Launch International Shipping!

For those of us outside of Toronto and the US who’ve been longing for Ann Taylor and LOFT, the wait is over.  International shipping is here!  Using FiftyOne (the same company that the American GAP Inc. sites use), both stores are now shipping to many countries, including the UK, Australia, UAE, Taiwan, Bermuda, Hong Kong and more.  Prices can be seen in local currency as well (just click on the flag on the top right hand corner to make changes).

There is some not-so-great news, however.  While prices are in local currency, they do not reflect duty – that is calculated at the end.  In other words, Canadians can expect higher prices than what they might pay in the Toronto stores.  Just wished that they either had a separate online-store for Canada (like the Gap Inc. stores) or included duty on the web prices like J.Crew (but then again, J.Crew doesn’t use FiftyOne for Canada) or Crate & Barrel (who DOES use FiftyOne).  Shipping is $12.95 (J.Crew’s shipping to Canada is $9.95 flat)!  At the same time, there is good news:  pieces that AREN’T in the stores – i.e. size 00/00P and web-exclusives, are can now be purchased.
