Canadian beauty brand, Annabelle Cosmetics held a launch party at Arcadian Loft last night to introduce its new brand ambassador, actress Shanae Grimes-Beech, best known for her roles on Degrassi and 90210. The event, attended by beauty bloggers, beauty retailers, make-up artists and just about anyone connected with the industry was mostly a mix and mingle.
Since it was a beauty event, there was, of course, free product. The Annabelle Wall was available for attendees to grab all the beauty products they wanted. People were crowded all over the space, picking out handfuls of items. While it isn’t nearly as crazy as a Black Friday sale raid, it was still an interesting sight to see. There was also a custom lip gloss bar as well as the requisite photo booth, complete with crazy glasses and boas.

And of course, a good event must have good food. Since it was at the Arcadian Loft, everything was courtesy of Oliver & Bonacinim, with nibblies such as mac and cheese bites, grilled cheese as well as a poutine bar, sliders (pulled pork and chicken) as well as a dessert bar consisting of cheesecake, biscotti and other delectable delights. Celebrity DJ Lissa Monet spun music, but Shane’s husband, Josh Beech took over later in the evening, right around the time dessert arrived.
