Aveda is Back in Yorkville!

After a five year absence, Aveda has made its triumphant return to the Bloor-Yorkville area.  This location, the fifteenth Experience Centre in Canada is on Cumberland Street and to Lululemon’s new location.   The new store is smaller than their old one, which had an academy (they have since moved to King Street).

The interior of the new location is a newer concept, different from other Aveda locations across the globe.  Rather than honey-coloured floors with white shelving, the Yorkville store has more of a Zen feeling.  The exterior and interiors (including walls, shelving and “experience table”) were built with reclaimed wood from such places as a bowling alley and barn with pendants created by New York’s Jeremy Pyles of Niche Modern.  The store also has 14 foot ceilings!  We here at DelectablyChic! feel that this look suites the Aveda philosophy much more than their other locations.

For the duration of the Toronto International Film Festival, the store will be carrying a TIFF Survival Kit, which consists of Blue Oil Balancing Concentrate, Hand Relief, Lip Saver and a breath freshener called Peppy Mint.  All  are travel sized.  These products are $39, but normally retail for $52.

Aveda Yorkville’s hours are Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.  They are located at 155 Cumberland Street.
