BCBG is about Neutral Colour Blocking

I am actually okay with the upcoming Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection.  This is pleasantly surprising as the past few seasons haven’t been that great.  The fall collection is full of neutrals, with oranges continuing to be dominant.  Colour-blocking is strong as well, but it’s toned down a bit for the cooler season.  Two pieces of criticism about the collection is that one, the skirt lengths, were, as usual, awkward for most women and two, the each piece seems like it’s based off the other – they were not “different enough.”

Neutral colour blocking galore!

Bits of fur was seen throughout this collection

Still, there are some favourites.  While I wasn’t a big fan of the furs, some of the more shapely pieces caught my eye (a favourite is a burnt orange and violet dress).  And despite the similarities of many looks in the collection, I have to say that the loose-fitting, bohemian-influenced two-thirds sleeves seen in many of the dresses are definitely “do” looks for next season.
