…for the most part, anyway. And perhaps they’ve heard enough complaints from people like yours truly! Traditionally, the “runway collection” presented at New York Fashion Week was very artistic, and definitely not wearable by the vast majority. However, the same can’t be said for the upcoming collection. In fact, I have to admit that I’m in love with it and want every single piece (including ones that don’t work on short, small-framed girls like me. I’ll just make it work – haha). Okay, that’s not going to happen, but the soft, flowing feminine looks are definitely a plus.
BCBGMaxAzria Spring/Summer 2015 Final Walk
The entire collection cried out spring and summer. Whites, pastels and some florals (they’re very pretty, but would it work on someone in her mid-30s without aging her? I’m too young to snowbird in Florida!), very flowing and not overwhelming on most frames, save for some of the looser, boxier pieces. And for those brides-to-be looking to not spend thousands of dollars on a wedding gown, there are plenty of white dresses to choose from – especially if you’re looking to have a beach wedding (or if you’re looking for a second dress). The pastel pieces can also make beautiful bridesmaid dresses.
I would have to say that I like the long, wrap-appearing dresses the most. I am actually hoping that the material isn’t too delicate to alter as despite being “petite-friendly” in terms of not being overwhelming on short, slender frames, the skirts are still, of course, designed for that uber-tall model! Can’t wait for these to be available!
