Beautiful Blingy Jewel Tones for Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection was all about the bling without going too far.  The collection consisted of a wide range of different looks, ranging from biker jackets to blazers, ankle-length pants, mini-dresses and winter shorts, models strutted down with the runway to a live performance with confidence reminiscent of the supermodel era of the 1980s and 1990s. In fact, many of the pieces were very much influenced from that era.

Jewel tones were definitely dominant shades throughout the collection, with neutrals to even things out.  Favourites in the collection include the two mini-dresses seen at around 0:40 and 0:57 of the video above as well as the cropped jackets as well as the teals and purples when it comes to colour. Except some of the bulkier pieces which would could easily overwhelm shorter, small framed women and make larger women look bulky, the fall/winter 2012 collection is extremely wearable – especially if you like shiny.
