Stila and Ardell held a holiday beauty event at Wish Cafe on Charles Street Thursday evening in support of the YWCA.  While nibbling on delicious hors d’oeuvres and sipping cocktails, attendees got to put together gift boxes with wonderful products from Stila and Ardell Lashes.  As many of these women are starting new lives, the products available were basic and simple.  They included lip glazes in several different shades as well as eyeshadow, mascara and the recently re-launched Creme Bouquet.  Were some simple lashes and, of course, lash glue.  I was, however, a little surprised at the products that were available for the boxes.  Personally, I would have included either the One Step Correct (one of my favourites) or the Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm to give a more complete look.

The event was not only about giving to others, but also treating oneself.  Make-up artists were on hand to give attendees touch-ups with products from Stilas holiday line and could also get lashes done by Ardell.  The event also had live music, with a singer accompanied by a guitarist.  Music ranged from holiday classics to the latest hits by the likes of Adele and others.
