Toronto-based beauty studio and boutique, BlushPretty, held a launch event on April 3 to introduce new additions to their store. These brands are EcoTools, Alterna Bamboo, A Paper Story(stationery!), Flirt Custom Lash Studio and stella+dot. The event featured chips and deliciously homemade salsa and hummus as well drinks. Attendees also had the opportunity to shop the new brands as well as Blush Pretty favourites like Cheeky Monkey and Cake.
Until the event, I had never been to BlushPretty before. For those not familiar, Blush Pretty offers services such as make-up application, brow grooming, beauty workshops and also sells indie brands such as the ones mentioned earlier. Most recently, they added lash extensions. They also have something called Beauty Board, which many prominent Toronto area beauty bloggers have attended. This event allows people to try brands, including new ones, before they make their big purchase. It’s kind of like a trade show, but on a much smaller scale. I have never gone, but am definitely interested in attending when another one pops up!
So what did I end up getting at the BlushPretty event? An entire set of EcoTools brushes, eye cream and a cheek and lip colour.
