Bridal Gift Guide 2015, Part 1: Bride Prep

dry sampoo, klorane

DelectablyChic! is back with its highly anticipated Bridal Gift Guide Series by T. U. Dawood.  This year we have a very exciting topic for Part I:  Bride Prep.

So many products have been invented that can really make a bride’s life much easier and cut her prep time in a half. Here are some of these lifesavers that a bride should start collecting in advance of her big day.

DRY SHAMPOO:

klorane dry shampoo

For brides planning a weekend or week wedding, or even just to get from ceremony to reception, dry shampoo can be a lifesaver.  Summer weddings lead to sweat and limp hair, even if styled at the best of salons.

Although dry shampoos have become trendy as of late, Klorane has been making them since 1971!  It even says on the product, “Creator of the Dry Shampoo.”  The paraben-free Klorane Dry Shampoo combines “oat milk, with moisturizing, softening and protective properties, and highly absorbent micronized powders,” into a gentle formula especially for brown to dark hair that even includes “natural tinted powders blend into the hair for an invisible finish.”

So if you spent all morning at the salon or perhaps even went the night before, a few quick sprays of dry shampoo near your scalp can create vibrancy and a visible volume and texture in just 2 minutes, without a retouch up from the salon.

CURLING IRON:

Another quick and easy way to change your look between ceremony and reception is a curling iron.  A simple quick-fix maker is KISS InstaWave Automatic Curling Iron, which we love because it is so easy to use.  If you had a straight do or even an updo for the ceremony, you can quickly and easily, give a bounce from girls for a sexier or more sophisticated evening or reception look, without having to go to the salon.

SOFTEN HANDS:

Hand Cream

As a bride you will be shaking a lot of hands and with all the attention paid on hair and make-up and your dress, it’s easy to forget to drink plenty of water and use hand cream.  Soft hands are very feminine and are one of those things that are really appreciated when absent – you would hate a guest to notice cracked hands – and will be ideal for the post-wedding moments.

We are in love with Moroccanoil Fleur de Rose Hand Cream. This lightweight hand lotion is infused with argan oil – does argan oil just make everything better – and leaves hands soft, silky and subtly fragranced with a delicate rose scent. In addition to the antioxidant-rich argan oil, there is and avocado oil in the mix as well, along with a blend of shea, cocoa and mango butters to deepen the moisturization.

CUCUMBERS AROUND EYES:

No bride wants dark circles under her eyes and with the stress surrounding such a big day, it takes some serious pre-planning to prevent this swelling around the eyesor.  One tip that has been used for eons globally truly has magical effect:  cold cucumbers are natural eye pads.
