DelectablyChic! is back with its highly anticipated Bridal Gift Guide Series by T. U. Dawood. We continue with Part III: Bridal Perfume. So many articles have been written about bridal make-up and hair but there is very little information on how to select the perfect perfume to wear on your wedding day. We at DelectablyChic! have discovered some gems.
FEMININE SCENT
Weddings are just made for flowers and celebrating your femininity. One of the most feminine scents we discovered was Aerin Mediterrannean Honeysuckle Eau de Parfum. Sweet honeysuckle and sparkling grapefruit combine for a burst of warm floral combined with a citrusy Italian bergamot and mandarin oil, imparting a lingering scent. Notes of Lily of the valley and lush gardenia come next, enhancing the sensuality, until a rich Jasmine Sambac Absolute tops up the magic of this scent.
SEXY SCENT:
The sexiest scent we discovered was Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess perfume. A perennial favourite, this sensuous, sun-drenched blend of Bergamot, warm Amber, Tiare Flower and Vanilla combines with Coconut for that unexpected, alchemic hint of mystery. The scent doesn’t linger so you will need to reapply frequently, but if you love the scent as much as we do, it will be worth it.
CLASSICAL SCENT:
There is something quintessentially classical and timeless about Yardley London Eau de Toilette. Whether English Rose, Lily of the Valley or Lavender, these scents epitomize class and sophistication and are ideal for the most elegant of brides. Scents like lavender also instantly relax and calm you, so are particularly ideal for brides.
MODERN SCENT:
Clean Reserve Scent Blonde Rose is ideal for the modern bride. It is more woodsy than floral, undoubtedly feminine and boldly sophisticated with a very 21st century edge to it. Ideal for millennial brides, the composition is a memorable blend of Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Musk, along with rose, jasmine, and peony. What’s very unusual about this scent is that instead of evoking memories of the past, it makes one dream of a future of unlimited possibilities. Each note is linear rather than transitioning from highs and lows, creating within it endless possibilities of layering and blending.
