If you’re looking for some comfortable, loose-fitting dresses with a bit of a twist, then Brit Wacher is your gal. Her Spring/Summer pieces, consisting of dresses and separates (including short tops) in unique, asymmetrical shapes – long on one side and shorter on the other as well as broader shoulders. They also look extremely comfortable, so for those foodies out there, it’s a very good thing.
Colour-wise, it is fairly neutral – there is a lot of black and white, with hints of camel and bronze. Chunky, brightly coloured jewellery would definitely go very well with the pieces. In terms of size-functional for certain body types (especially shorter, smaller-framed women), it’s a bit of a mixed bag. There are pieces that look a bit overwhelming on smaller figures – especially with the broader shoulders, while others, especially the dresses would work well – provided that the asymmetrical pieces are altered properly. The shorts, of course, will look better and more modest on petite women than it does on models.
Do I have favourite pieces? While bronze and black might not be spring/summer colours, I’d have to say that there’s a tie between the second and third images – everyone needs some sort of little black dress (especially something that is a little more unique), regardless of season and the shiny bronze dress looks like something that one can take from desk to dinner. A runner-up would definitely be the camel-coloured cape (fourth photo), which I feel can be a wonderful transition piece.
