COC’s Centre Stage 2015: November 3

Centre Stage, The Canadian Opera Company’s annual competition for its Ensemble Studio program will be held on November 3, 2015.  As many of you may know, the Ensemble Studio is a unique program where talented singers are given the opportunity to train with the Canadian Opera Company.  First, second and third place winners will be picked all vying for cash prizes ranging between $1,500 and $5,000.  There is also an audience choice award of $1,500.  Past winners Karine Boucher (2013) and Charles Sy (2014) will be serving as this year’s hosts.

Finalists from this year’s competition include Zachary Read, Lauren Eberwein and Eliza Johnson, hailing from various parts of the country including Stratford, Halifax and right here in Toronto.

The event starts at 5:30 PM with a cocktail reception, followed by the competition itself at 6:30.  As of October 29, some tickets are still available at $100 each.
