Chainbags and Floral Details at Tory Burch

Always with a touch of preppiness, Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection is no exception.  Gorgeous deep reds and greens team up with blacks, greys and a touch of blue and shine for the upcoming season.  Also included were the floral detailing found in many of the looks, something that is more often seen for spring and summer than the fall. It was also nice to see a mix of different cuts.  Too many collections for the upcoming season have been dominated by slim pencil skirts.

For many seasons, Tory has been known for her comfortable Revas – ballet flats with elastic ankles that are perfectly paired with leggings or other skinny pants for that nice, gamine look.  Recently, she has been producing gorgeous handbags and ones seen in this collection are no exception.  With chain and leather handles, as well as bold detailing, the bags are lady-like, elegant and office-friendly at the same time.  The only negative  is that they looked rather heavy on the live stream, especially those of us who tend to carry more than just a phone, wallet, keys and lipstick in their bags.

The collection is definitely something to look forward to come fall.  I am already eying the light blue plaid and the black and red floral dresses. Can’t wait!
