Yorkville’s Eleven Boutique held a fall shopping event on Wednesday to celebrate designers featured in the store.  The store, which is located on Cumberland, sells clothing and accessories from Canadian and international brands such as Pink Tartan, LOVAS as well as Lundström and Lundström Collection. 

The purpose of the event on Wednesday was to show off the designers’ fall collections.  Eleven pieces of clothing and accessories were set out by the boutique as its Top Eleven.  They include the NADA Jewel Collar Dress (above, right and a DelectablyChic! favourite) as well as a cocktail dress by David Dixon as well as a Lundstrom Collection coat.  There were some which look good on display, but not on everyone.  Karen McClintock’s black pearl necklace (above,  left) is one of them (will overwhelm a small frame).  While many may find the styles a little on the “boring” side, a true fashionista knows that it’s important to mix the classics with the trends.  After all, wearing the trends and only the trends means that someone is trying too hard.  The collection may consist mostly of blacks and greys with a hint of camel, navy and red, but with the right accessories, one can look chic and sophisticated. 

Of course, a shopping party is not without refreshments.  Guests were served white wine or sparkling water and were also offered sushi, wraps and mini cupcakes. 

Interesting Fact:  There were other stores in the Yorkville area which held shopping events that very night.  However, the one held at Eleven Boutique was unrelated to the others, which were hosted by Lou Lou magazine.
