Fashion’s Night out is later this week and stores across the city are participating. While it seems that participating locations are quite spread out (largely concentrated in the Bloor-Yorkville area and Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The Toronto Eaton Centre is also involved, but it seems like it’s in a much smaller scale than Yorkdale. Except for a small sign near the Yonge and Dundas entrance, there was virtually no marketing for the event and quite easy to miss). I will likely be sticking to the Yorkville area andvisiting at most, three or four stores.) There also seems to be fewer participating stores in Toronto than in Vancouver.
One of the events I’m most excited about is at the new AIME boutique and showroom. Monica Mei, the designer behind the line, is known for her seasonless styles as well as her philanthropy – partial sales of her M Project t-shirts go to charity. The event will mark the boutique’s grand opening and will feature delicious hors d’oevures by Elizabeth Hill Catering (Liz is a DelectablyChic! contributor and catered the DelectablyChic! Social in June), music spun by Tunezy and will get to preview the latest collection. There will also be a bit of shopping, with partial proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Other FNO Toronto events in Yorkville include:
Holt Renfrew Bloor Street: The store will be celebrating its 175th anniversary with a street party on Bloor!
Toronto Fashion Incubator and Fashion Cares Shopping Soiree: Held at Hazelton Lanes, people can shop for gorgeous apparel and accessories at the “Oval Square” where 10% of sales will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the AIDS Committee of Toronto.
Intermix: Celebrate the opening night of TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and FNO with style. ILIA Beauty will be there to give your lips a gorgeous pop of colour, too!
H&M: At both the Eaton Centre and Bloor Street stores, one can enjoy delicious bites and special offers from 6 pm to 11 pm.
Aveda, Cole Haan and various other Yorkville area boutiques will also be participating. To find out more about Toronto’s FNO events, please visit the event website. Fashion’s Night Out starts at 6 PM with many stores staying open until 11. Watch for tweets from various events from the Bloor-Yorkville area! Hashtag will be #delectablychicfnoto
