Gourmet Food & Wine Expo: November 14 to 17 at the Metro Convention Centre

gourmetfoodandwine2013

As in previous years, the show will open with a VIP evening on Thursday, November 14, and will have public admissions, starting on Friday, November 15 at 2 PM.  As usual, the expo will feature wines, spirits, beers and more from around the world, as well as delicious foods from various restaurants and other food-related companies from all over.  Of course, there’ll be cooking demonstrations from the Food Network Stage from various chefs such as Milagro’s Auturo Anhalt, Chris Kalispera from Brassaii, Sam Seaver of Niagara College’s Benchmark Restaurant as well as a special appearance from celebrity chef, Roger Mooking (Friday, 6:30PM), who will prepare a delicious grilled steak with spicy shrimp and blackbean sauce.  This year’s Trend Tasting Lounge will feature wines of Chile, and will have sessions throughout the four days of the expo.  There will also be an “Uptown Downtown Throwdown” where bartenders from various parts of the city will compete “for pride, recognition, bragging rights and a cash prize.”

DelectablyChic! will be at the show on the media/VIP night.  Look for pictures on our Instagram throughout the evening as well as a more detailed post on exhibitors, going up Friday (we are glad to see our favourite vendor, Hank Daddy’s BBQ returning to the 2013 show!).
