Before this past summer, I never really considered the GEOX brand! I don’t know why I never thought of them – perhaps it was because never really promoted in the petite blogging community, despite offering smaller sizes in their basics (they go down to size 4 for many styles) – but I’m glad I did. The shoes are really comfortable and yes, I once walked a good 45 minutes home from an event wearing their pumps! I have since bought another pair and several more are on my wish list, including:
These boots! Most of you know that I love sweater dresses. Wouldn’t these be PERFECT, especially when wearing nude hose? It’s good for something more casual – leggings or skinny jeans (who says they’re dead?), both colder weather staples for me. I also like the fact that they’re wedges, meaning I could walk longer distances – if I could go for 45 minutes in a skinnier heel, wedges could mean that I could go for an hour or more. It’s called the Ultraviolet and is available in two colours. If I were to purchase these, I’d likely go with the brown pair (above, at $350 CDN) as I already have two pairs of taller black boots, including a wedge. Ultraviolet also comes in an ankle boot if you’re looking for that.
Booties. There are so many in the collection. The Inspiration bootie with shearling ($250. The style is also available in regular ankle as well as knee high. Also available in black, of course) looks like it could keep my feet really warm and would look great with wooly tights and knee length skirts. The heel is also not super-skinny, so it’s not likely going to make the wearer uncomfortable. In fact, the shoes I walked 45 minutes home in had a similar type of heel.
For something a little bit funkier and a bootie that brings me back to my middle school years back in the mid-90s, there’s the Trish ($230, first image) and Trish ABX ($220, second image) Floral skirts and “Blossom” hats, anyone?
And what about “regular” shoes? Sure! There are a few, including the chunky heeled Celestial, which I actually purchased. I was a bit hesitant at first – it looks a little “grandma” ish, but I absolutely love the colour (it goes extremely well with dark wash denim), and like everything GEOX sells, is very comfortable. It’s perfect for walkers like me.
Have you purchased GEOX footwear? What styles do you like?
NOTE: This was NOT a sponsored post! I just like these shoes!
