The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo, held once again at the Metro Convention Centre, is back for another year with a VIP evening this Thursday and will open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Once again, the event will feature delicious foods from various restaurants and food companies across the country as well as wines from various wineries. Back again this year include:
Muskoka Lakes Winery: A DelectablyChic! favourite, offering non-grape wines such as cranberry and blueberry.
Food Network Stage: The Food Network will once again be hosting cooking demonstrations such as using local and organic produce to create comfort foods (with Graham Pratt of Gabardine), Asian style cooking (Alec Martin from The Hawker Bar) as well as a candy making demonstration with Todd Gibbons of Northern Confections. Andrea Nicholson of Food Network Canada’s Restaurant Takeover and Top Chef Canada will also be there to show how to create a delicious holiday meal using products from her Killer Condiments collection.
Hank Daddy’s Pulled Pork Parfait from 2011
Hank Daddy’s BBQ: This BBQ sauce company was highlighted last year for their delicious pulled pork parfait, served sundae style and made with pulled pork, mashed potatoes, in two, alternating layers (and their sauce, of course), with an optional dash of baked beans.
Bite Bar: Featured last year and was the cupcake/dessert sponsor of this year’s DelectablChic! Social. Known for their delicious miniature cupcakes.
Some other favourites, including Brix Chocolate, however, are not back this year. Hours for the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo are as follows:
- Thursday, November 15, 2012, 6pm-10pm VIP Preview Evening
- Friday, November 16, 2012, 2pm-10pm
