Like Christian Louboutin’s red soles, Hervé Léger‘s signature bandage dresses are hard to miss. They’re very similar season after season, and one dress can last years without looking like it’s “out” (unless you’re season-obsessed). The upcoming collection is no exception. There seems to be a warrior theme to the collection – many shiny metallics (a metallic black dress is one of my favourites) were seen and models were all clad in gladiator boots. Towards the end, a couple of dresses with fringes were also presented.
I have to admit that I wasn’t always a fan of Hervé Léger dresses – I’ve always thought that they were too tight looking and wouldn’t look good on anyone over 25 (and most people UNDER 25 couldn’t afford the $1,000+ pieces). My mind changed, however, when I slipped on my first Hervé Léger dress just last month. I was immediately IN LOVE. Even though I probably wouldn’t be buying any of the dresses from the 2012 Spring Summer collection, I can now appreciate the look.
