H&M Shopping Night for Windfall

H&M held their first shopping party in support for Windfall, a charity which specializes in new clothing, yesterday at their Yonge and Bloor location.  The event was full of downtown shoppers (mostly women – the basement level, which houses the men’s section was pretty dead), many of whom wore white (to support the charity and their annual Wear White 4 Windfall day on the 27th), enjoyed 15% off their entire purchase as well as delicious hors d’oeuvres such as mini sliders, cupcakes and grilled cheese sandwiches.  There was also a signature drink made from vodka, pear juice and ginger ale.

Like other H&M shopping events, many shoppers carried hangers and hangers of clothing to the change rooms and the wait for one was quite long.  However, since the men’s section was so quiet, many were sent down to the basement just to ease the wait – a good thing, as many had to wait for as long as half an hour or more!  The event seemed like a success and hopefully, it will happen again in 2012!
