On August 15, just a few days before J.Crew’s Canadian debut at Yorkdale, the first Canadian Intermix will open its doors on Bloor, just east of Avenue Road. Intermix, which already delivers to Canada via their e-commerce service, primarily targets trendy young women mid-20s to mid-30s features brands such as 7 For All Mankind, Stella McCartney and Joie. The store will be at 130 Bloor Street West, the spot vacated by Lululemon (now on Cumberland) last year, and is 2,500 square feet.
This is very exciting for many of Toronto’s “stylistas.” According to a report from Post City Magazines, the store will not only feature many well-known international names, but also some local, up-and-coming designers as well, which may give them a bigger international boost if their line is also carried on Intermix’s website – something rival TNT: The New Trend, with locations only in Toronto and Montreal, can’t do.
Another Toronto store is rumoured to open at Yorkdale.
