Chic clothing retailer, Intermix is set to open up a location on Bloor Street this fall. Intermix, which describes itself as a “multi-brand retailer styling women with our unique and compelling fashion point-of-view” has 24 locations across the United States as well as an e-commerce store with international delivery. Brands sold at Intermix include 7 for All Mankind, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo and Joie.

The Yorkville location will be its first brick-and-mortar store outside of the United States. So far, DelectablyChic! has not been able to find out excatly WHERE on Bloor Intermix is going to open. WWD.com has indicated that the Toronto store will be 2,500 square feet. I’m not sure how big the old Lululemon store is, but that might be a possible location. 150 Bloor Street, which is just by the church on the corner of Avenue and Bloor, is another possible location.
The opening of Intermix, especially at a location as prime as right on Bloor Street, may very well give TNT (The New Trend) over at Hazelton Lanes a run for its money. TNT, which is currently expanding, caters to a similar market and carries many of the same brands. The advantage of TNT, however, is that it carries guy’s clothing as well as Canadian designers. This is something that they can play up. Maybe this would encourage us to buy Canadian more often. However, TNT, being at Hazelton Lanes, is disadvantaged considering that most big brand names left the mall long ago. Most people who go to Hazelton Lanes for groceries at Whole Foods.
