The Spring 2011 One of a Kind Show filled the Direct Energy centre with amazing local talent. One of these companies is Toronto based LoveFresh which offers natural body products in beautiful packaging.

From the website:
Lovefresh is a yummy line of natural body goodies that are fun, effective and packaged with style. With hydrating sugar scrubs to rich and luxurious body butters there is a treat for everyone.
LoveFresh’s founder Stacey Davis has always loved making things and boasts about her cooking abilities as well. Inspired by nature the line offers an assortment of body products including body butters, washes, lotions and their best selling sugar scrubs.
Stacey is definitely talented – she enjoys working with her hands. When asked what she would be doing if she weren’t creating products for LoveFresh she states that she loves the art of pottery.
LoveFresh’s products are unique and Stacey believes it is the combination of having a product that consumers are looking for but also having simple yet elegant packaging that makes this line stand out from most other natural lines of products offered on the market.
Her creative process is simple but effective. Looking for a gap in her own daily skincare routine is where her ideas stem from. Creating products that she can’t find or something that needs to be tweaked is where the creative process begins. The weekends are when most of the creating is done although she admits that the most challenging part of her journey is juggling her family life.
Stacey has some advice for others looking to pursue their artistic or creative dreams:
Go with passion first, make sure you “test” your products on the general public (not just your family…they will not be 100% honest as they do not want to crush you) the general public WILL crush you if it is not something that they like or want. It’s tough to get a consumer to open their pocketbook… it HAS to be something that they are willing to purchase (that’s the difference between a hobby and a business…are people willing to pay for it?)
