Isabel Marant for H&M: This November!

Breaking news!  This year’s H&M designer collaboration will be with French designer, Isabel Marant, currently one of the hottest designers in the fashion industry.  A celeb favourite and known for her mix of “rocker chick” meets “boho” meets casual, contemporary style, this collection is likely going to bring the shoppers back.  The past two November designer collaborations (Versace in 2011 and Maison Martin Margiela in 2012) have been a bit more lukewarm, at least this side of the Atlantic and Pacific – stores in Toronto and New York, for example, still had pieces two weeks after the debut.

November 14 seems to be the big day, according to most sources.  Previous designer collaborations, in addition to the two mentioned earlier in this post, have included Stella McCartney (personal favourite), Viktor & Rolf as well as Marni (another favourite), which was a spring collaboration.  As usual, not all stores will be carrying this collection.  Most likely, the Toronto stores selling these pieces will be Bloor Street, Eaton Centre and Yorkdale.

Will you be in line for Isabel Marant?  I’m considering lining up, but will have to see what the collection has to offer before making my final decision.  I did not go to MMM x H&M last year as it was not my “thing.”  I did purchase a piece from the Versace and Marni (spring 2012) events.
