Handmade Jewellery from London, England

Two years ago, brother and sister, Algis Abromaitis and Jolita Abromaityte, launched a hand made jewellery line out of London, UK.  Called Jolita Jewellery, these colourful, handmade pieces are created  from material sourced globally and are a great way to spice up one’s little black dress.  Prices for these pieces start at around $75-80 Canadian.  Jolita’s women’s line consists of bracelets and necklaces.  There are five different women’s collections, each with its unique name.

Many of the pieces are larger in size and are in no way subtle.  For those who prefer something smaller and more conservative, there is the Noir line.  These pieces are more elegant and graceful rather than scream out “I’m an IT GIRL!”  A favourite of DelectablyChic! is Malachite, emerald and gold-filled bracelet (above).  Made with green malachete and emerald beads put together in a gold chain, this is a piece which would be great both for the office and for a night out after work.  The Noir line also offers brooches (see first picture), which would look great on any lapel.  Looking for something which pops?  Try something from the Bijoux Delux line, such as the .

In addition to a large women’s line, Jolita also carries a small men’s collection.  Called “,” this collection of bracelets and necklaces tarkets “funky urban men” who want to have a bit of bling.  At the same time, the guys’ pieces also have a tinge of metrosexual flare.  Price ranges for the Gentlemen’s Club is in the $300+ Canadian range for bracelets and $150-$250 range for necklaces.

Finally, if you’re ever in London, you might want to attend one of Jolita’s jewellery making workshops. Beginner’s seminars are held Saturdays from 11 to 6 pm.

Jolita Jewellery is available for purchase online.  Prices are listed in Canadian, American, British and UK currencies as well as the Euro.
