Sophisticated, work-friendly women’s wear Judith & Charles celebrated its grand-reopening at First Canadian Place last night with a media event where attendees mingled, nibbled on hors d’oeuvres and also had the opportunity to browse or shop. The store, which was in a smaller, temporary spot for a couple of months, has now old home that has been expanded to approximately 2,000 square feet. The new store features not only its current, very work-appropriate collection (fitting as the boutique is in the heart of Toronto’s financial district) but as pieces from lines like JBrand as well as accessories that would make any outfit pop, regardless of whether a woman is heading to the office or to dinner. In addition, those with small wrists will be happy to hear that many of the bracelets sold at the store are made just for them – no slippage here! Some of this season’s favourite looks include flowing blouses, slim, cropped and full length pants as well as dresses and pants that are partially made with leather. They are mostly classics and will last in one’s closet for many seasons to come.
Judith & Charles opened its first free standing boutiques a couple of years ago (DelectablyChic!, then known as Prospere Magazine, was there to cover the Bayview Village opening). Until then, the line, which was until recently, known as Teenflo, was only available at Holt Renfrew. Today, there are Judith & Charles boutiques across Canada, including Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver as well as a location in New York City.
