Kalloné: New Tdot Lingerie Shop Carries The Little Bra Company!

Many smaller-framed women are familiar with the California-based line, The Little Bra Company.  Carrying “grown-up” looking bras as small as a 28AA, the brand has, over the years, become a go-to line for those of us who are small (including yours truly).  The brand has been available in Canada for some time, but it’s often difficult to find, and one store even said that they didn’t “recommend it” to clients because it “didn’t fit well.”  Really?  TLBC fits me and makes up the majority of my bra collection.

So imagine my excitement when I received an invitation to attend Kalloné‘s downtown opening event.  Kalloné, a lingerie and swimwear store, opened its second location on Queen Street (their first spot is in Woodbridge), west of University Avenue earlier this year, selling a wide variety of not only lingerie and swimwear (including men’s pieces), but other items, including bridal (garters, for example) as well.  Brands include lingerie lines like Cake Lingerie, Commando and Curvy Kate as well as swimwear brands Simone Perele, Maaji and Voda.  I also saw a vibrator, which a store rep explained was there because many women are uncomfortable going into sex shops.  Let’s just say that I was a bit surprised. However, I was pretty much there to see items from TLBC.

Kalloné has much of TLBC’s collection, including everyone’s favourite, Lucia as well as Esther.  Though most of what they have are either black or nude, their e-commerce site also shows the new Esther bra in pink and nude.  Panties from the line, both frilly and smooth, are also available.  I was hoping that they’d also have the Elizabeth, TLBC’s sports bra as well as Barbara, a beautiful slate and sapphire piece.  Maybe they’ll start carrying other colours (Lucia comes in a wide variety!) at a later time.

Looking for panties to wear with those nearly see-through dresses? Well, they have frilly Commandos for you!

I am happy about this store because I feel like the salespeople understand the need for brands like TLBC (I asked about it and they brought them out right away.  Because it’s summer, they’re currently displaying more swim pieces than lingerie).  I have mostly been purchasing TLBC bras online, especially after that one incident.  I am sure that other Toronto-area TLBC fans are glad to hear of this news too.  And for those not in the GTA, Kallone has an online shop, carrying everything they have in their stores as well as some online exclusives.

Kalloné Queen Street is located on 309 Queen Street West.  Store hours are Monday to Wednesday, from 11 AM to 7 PM, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 AM to 8 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays and noon to 5 PM on Sundays.
