LG Fashion Week Highlights: Day 2

It’s the second day of LG Fashion Week and shows today include: Amanda Lew Kee, Joeffer Coac, Michi as well as the highly publicized Mercedes-Benz Startup show, featuring five up-and-coming Canadian designers.

Amanda Lew Kee: Definitely a nod to tennis and the country club, with every model sporting visors and pieces looking like they’d fit right in at the courts.  Other pieces looked like they were pool-ready.

Joeffer Caoc: Another designer aiming at a sportier look, though the pieces were more clubhouse-friendly than at the courts.  Models wore their hair in messy buns and simple make-up.  And like many other designers so far, orange seemed to be a focal colour this season.

MICHI: Lingerie meets the yoga world in this collection.  It would have been more enjoyable to watch if the presentation didn’t have flashing flood lights.  There should have been a warning as such lighting is very bothersome to some people.

Laura Siegel:  Very different from other designers who presented today (so far).  Rather than a sporty look, Ms. Siegel opts for the Earth Princess, which reflects her philosophy of sustainable, environmentally conscious fashion.
