LG Fashion Week (Spring/Summer 2011) – October 18-23

Toronto’s LG Fashion Week starts next week!  This will be our first season covering the shows under the DelectablyChic! name, so watch this space every day for write-ups on what’s going to be in for spring starting October 19!  Designers presenting this season include the old favourites such as Pink Tartan and Evan Bidell.  Others presenting include OR by angela chen, House of Groves, Jules Power and Duy.  The theme for the Spring/Summer 2011 season is The Style of Power, and will have three different ways of showing their collections.  The Marquee, which can accomodate up to 1,000 people, will show in a traditional runway format, while the Petite Marquee is more intimate, accomodating up to 500.  Some designers, including Evan Bidell, will be utilizing the Studio, a space where the audience can move freely rather than watch from a designated spot.

I’m very much looking forward to these shows, especially the newer designers.  It’s always good to see fresh faces and names, ones which may be household names some day.

Shows can be viewed online by signing up on the LG Fashion Week website.
