LOFT Girls Party at Yorkdale

Hosted by LOFT Girls/Hip Urban Girl and store staff, a brunch shopping party was held at LOFT Yorkdale on February 24.  The event was not that atypical of similar shopping parties, save for brunch food (granola, fruit and yogurt in shot glasses, banana and Nutella sandwiches, etc…) and the lack of a make-up or manicure station (a good thing, as there wouldn’t have been much space to mingle otherwise).  The event definitely drew a crowd and included many Toronto-area bloggers, such as Nelia from styleblog.ca and Nicole of Dainty Girl.

With discounts (the shop window was advertising 40% off some items) and pretty, colourful selections, many shoppers left the event with lots of loot.  Tiffany Pratt, a local stylist, was also there, creating pretty floral designs for canvas shopping bags.  One thing that was missing from the event was a coffee station, which I was actually expecting.  It was a brunch event, after all.  Perhaps like makeovers and manicures, it was due to space.  It would have been nice to have a cappuccino station though.  Oh well, maybe at a future event.
