Select Summer Looks from LOFT

Warm weather may just be appearing in Toronto (hey, it was 20 C earlier this week), but summer clothes have already begun to hit stores.  I recently had the opportunity to take a look at some of the summer pieces from LOFT at their PR agency, Edelman.  Some of these looks are already available in stores, while others will slowly be drifting in until July, when fall pieces will begin to arrive (can you believe that?  FALL??!!).  Styles were, in keeping with LOFT’s philosophy, basic, of course, but at the same time, not boring, either.  Pretty, warm weather weekend favourites like maxi dresses, shorts, and of course, sandals and t-shirts were abundant, as well as pieces that can be worn to a more casual office.  Here are some looks!

chambray dress - 80 - April 28

Chambray was one of the “trends” seen in the collection.  This lightweight dress is a great piece to wear with sandals on a weekend.  Looking for a casual item for work?  Throw on a dark blue or black blazer and dress sandals and you’re good to go!

vertical stripe skirt - 80 - April 7

Another office-appropriate look with this striped skirt.  Stripes are everywhere these days, not just at LOFT.  A similar looking striped pattern is also available as a maxi dress and in pants.

Maxi Dresses

These maxi dresses are great for casual patio/garden parties and barbecues! Just pair them with nice sandals (such as the ones below), a hat and a pair of sunglasses.

LOFT Shoes

Other than the platform wedges on the far left, these sandals are low heeled or flats and look comfortable (my feet are too small for LOFT’s shoes, so I won’t be able to test them out)

Embroidered short - 54.50 - May 19

Looking for shorts?  Why not try these embroidered ones?

Will you be shopping at LOFT this summer?
