LOFT Summer Looks: T-Shirts, Sandals and More Warm Weather Goodness

While the weather was dreadful last week, things turned for the better by the time I attended the LOFT summer preview event earlier this week.  Tired of winter, and winter weather in general, not only was I happy to see the warmer weather, but also to see the warm weather clothing that have either already arrived at the Yorkdale location/available online or are due to come in the next few weeks.  Styles we are seeing at LOFT in the coming weeks include linen and sunwash tees, crochet tops and dresses as well as jumpsuits and rompers.  A favourite of mine is a pleated midi dress that was prominently displayed at the entrance.

For those looking for shoes, there were quite a few cute ones at the preview, ranging from office-appropriate dress sandals to ballet flats, gladiator sandals (weren’t they just in?) and flip flops.  There were also a lot of colours – favourites include a green wedge cork (also available in white) and a blue dress sandal.  It’s also nice to know that the Yorkdale store is now carrying shoes, so one doesn’t have to purchase online (I was also told that the Eaton Centre store, which will open later this year, will also carry shoes).  The accessories and bags reflected the rest of the collection, with its wide range in colour and material.

And of course, there were the treats – a media event isn’t complete without them, after all!  There were sliders, nachos and bruschetta as well as fruit infused water in jars.  The blueberry water, which I had, was nice, sweet and cool.  It’s definitely something I’d be serving at a summer event!
