Luca Luca: Elegant and Definitely Wearable for All

One of the other shows livestreaming from New York Fashion Week was Luca Luca, a line that describes itself as a “high fashion women’s luxury lifestyle brand.” The show today definitely lived up to the standard.  Instead of being funky like many lines try to be, they were staying with their Euro Chic philosophy of being simple, yet elegant.

The fall line is very colourful, with lots of cranberries (a favourite here) and greens.  The style is more “grown up,” a definite plus in our books.  With an exception of the longer dresses, most of the garments would work very well on any occasion, from brunch with the ladies to datenight and even work – just throw on a black or dark cardigan or blazer and you’re good to go.  The longer, flowing dresses would definitely stand out at fall and winter galas or weddings, where many may be wearing plainer pieces.  There are still some fun, novelty pieces, such as a dress with gigantic poofs on it, but still, it doesn’t look out of place in the collection.

Luca Luca, despite being more “grown up” and lady-like, the Fall/Winter collection would look great on all ages.  Many brands tend to favour the young, but not Luca Luca.  They aren’t the type who try to be something they’re not.  Instead, Luca Luca does fine with just being themselves.
