NADA Liquidation Sale! (Continues July 12 and 14)

It’s always sad to hear fashion designers closing down, and Nada Shepherd’s NADA is no exception.  The designer and past winner of the Toronto Fashion Incubator’s New Labels competition is winding her operations with a liquidation sale of not just her remaining stock, but fabric, notations and even office supplies.  However, the vast majority of items are clothes from both her past Fall/Winter and current Spring/Summer collections.   At my trip to the sale on Wednesday, I made two purchases, a gorgeous cowlneck dress and an a-line skirt.  The pieces are heavily discounted.  For example, dresses that normally go for about $300 or so were selling at $75.  There are many gorgeous summer-friendly pieces that one can wear to not-so-dressy weddings or dinners out.  At my visit, I picked out a below-the-knee (on me, anyway, as I’m very petite.  It’s probably knee length on models) dress as well as an a-line skirt ($40).

All sizes are available.  At my visit, there were plenty of pieces that were size 0, 2 or XS as well as sizes on the larger spectrum.  Note that, however, pieces without size labels are a 4.  The sale started last week and continues on July 12 and 14 at 51 Bulwer Street in the Queen and Spadina area.
