Well, according to Lisa Tant’s (Flare Magazine) Tweet this morning, anyway. No further details were given, though there are at least two brands that come to mind. I have heard that Christian Dior has been trying to land a spot here for a while and TopShop (can it count as “European” or are British brands something different entirely? ) may be opening a stores soon too. Ferragamo might be a possibility, as there is a boutique in Vancouver already. What it’s unlikely going to be is agnès b., which only has two North American stores (both in Manhattan) anyway. Currently, there are three empty storefronts on Bloor Street West, east of Avenue Road. They are the former homes of Lululemon (moved to Cumberland), Noir (gone for two years or so now) and FeetFirst (personally, I think either Michael Kors or Stuart Weitzman will take over. No rumours about Stuart coming to Bloor yet, but you know it’s going to happen). Size-wise makes any of these locations makes these locations too small for something like TopShop (not to mention that TopShop is more likely to be closer to Yonge Street than Avenue Road), but you never know. There are also plenty of empty spaces at 150 Bloor Street West (see left image, taken when there weres till shops there) and on the street level of the Park Hyatt, just west of Avenue Road. So, as a poll, we’re asking our readers:
