New York Fashion Week starts today!  Though we will not be in New York to see the shows in person, we will be watching online and will post reviews for the Fall 2014 collections on selected designers either the day of the showing or the following day, depending on whether we catch the show live.  Look for posts on brands such as BCBG, Tory Burch, Nanette Lepore and Carolina Herrera.

Of course, most of the world is NOT thinking about fall or winter – especially after the snowy weather that has hit parts of North America.  However, it’s fashion, and the industry is a good six months ahead!  Personally, I love the season – the collections are often filled with beautiful, crisp, warm tones – just like leaves, spice and pumpkin pie – think Thanksgiving (a favourite food-related holiday).  And looking at the pieces makes me want to plan my Thanksgiving wardrobe – if I decide to make it dressy this year, anyway.
