One of a Kind Show Highlights: Maple Spreads and Reversible Resort Wear

Those of you who have read my site since inception know that I’m all about style and food, so for the Spring One of a Kind Show, I’m highlighting two must-visit booths, one food-related and the other, fashion.

Voisin’s Maple Products:

Left: Maple butter with cinnamon; Right: Regular maple butter

This is not just maple syrup (which media had the chance to enjoy at breakfast – went along with delicious brie and pear French toast)!  There are also delicious maple butters (plain and cinnamon) as well as jellies, sauces and more.  This is a booth you want to stop by just to try the maple butters – it is absolutely delicious!  I bought both the regular and cinnamon and will be enjoying them for months to come – especially on waffles!  Visit Voisin’s at B40.

The Zoe dress

I have been following Monica Mei’s fashion career since she made her debut at Fashion Week (then still known as LG Fashion Week) several years ago.  I have many of her pieces, especially from her last collection, which launched a while back.  Her new collection of resort-based dresses is not only reversible, but is one-size-fits-most.  I would have to say that if you’re on the smaller end of the spectrum, expect looser, more Nicole Richie-like fits.  The collection, called Wanderlust, was inspired by a trip to Istanbul.  Check out AIME at Booth Q21 (NOTE: dresses are available at a discounted price if you back her on Kickstarter).

Other great booths include: Taska (bags, at K43), DaLish Cosmetics (make-up, K41) Rustichella (infused oils and vinegars, B32), Les Caprices D’Angeline (spreads and dressings (and a DelectablyChic! favourite), C45) and Beverley’s Bakers (butter tarts – many different kinds, B38).

The One of a Kind Show is at the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto.  The Spring show is a bit shorter than the Christmas event and will run until this Sunday, March 30.  Tickets are available online and at the door.
