New Discoveries and Old Favourites at the OOAK Show

The One of a Kind Show (OOAK Show), Holiday Edition has opened and many favourites have returned (it’s their 40th anniversary this year).  I am, for one, extremely glad that I ran out of Incredible Spread’Em just in time for the show, as I picked up not one, but two containers of the product (this time, I got one medium and one small – enough to last me until the Spring show in March without having to ration (which I had to do last time).  Other favourites, including Dalish Cosmetics, Froosh, Voisin’s Maple Products and my favourite spread line, Les Caprices D’Angéline, have also returned.  A new discovery for me is The Greek Chef (the brand of products under Sun Sweet Catering from London, Ontario).  They have a couple of garlic spreads as well as many different types of hummus.  Do try the chocolate hummus – it’s different and really good!

These brittles are DELICIOUS! Just three of many flavours (the one in the middle is espresso)

On the fashion/beauty side, there’s Anu Raina, known for her city scape pieces for the Fall/Winter 2014 season.  She will be at the show starting on December 2.  Other fashion and beauty brands include Lucian Matis (I didn’t even know that they’d be there.  They’re only around until December 1, however) and many, many more.  One brand I really liked was Honey Pie Hives & Herbals, which not only has skincare/beauty products, but also edible honey.  LoveFresh was also there.

Of course, it’s not just the exhibitors who make up the OOAK.  There are also presentations, including fashion shows and gifting idea presentations with media celebrities like Derrick Chetty of House and Home and blogger Cynthia Zamaria of Recreational Decoder.

The One of a Kind Show runs until Sunday, December 7 at the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
