Petite Fashion Challenge 16: Summer Wedding Guest

This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge, hosted by Petite on a Penny (thanks so much for hosting this!), asks us to:

Create an outfit for a summer wedding (the dress code is up to you). For bonus points (and this is what I’ll be doing!) try to make your whole outfit, head to toe, come in under $100! (Or, exclude shoes and accessories to meet the $100 mark.)

This proved to be a major challenge for me, since I don’t have shoes under $75, save for flip flops, so I just went with the dress.  The dress, by Canadian designer, NADA, was originally well over $100, but I purchased it at a liquidation sale last year at around $75.  I had worn it to a wedding last July as well as to a few other summer events. The shoes in the above picture are from the Odd Slipper, an online store that specializes in shoes for small feet (they don’t have anything larger than a 6, I believe).  The shoes I’m wearing are the Ilonas (or as Kelly from Alterations Needed put it, “mullet shoes”) and are $104 US.  I am wearing size 22.5, which is equivalent to a 4 1/2 or very small 5.  My bag is from BCBG and the belt is Nine West, a gift from my mom last year.

Pictures of the dress from the back and side:

The last time I wore the dress to a wedding, I paired it with my silver Manolos, which I’ve had since *I* got married.  I’ve worn it to every wedding I’ve gone to since.

Which shoes do YOU think look better with this dress?
