Considering how I’m always about being “proper” and “lady-like,” I’m actually not much of a headpiece kind of girl. Therefore, this Petite Fashion Challenge, hosted by KTR Style, was definitely a challenge for me. I do have a few pieces, purchased at shows and other events, but I just never really…wore them. For this month’s challenge, I decided to go with a basic black and purple fascinator. This little black dress ($205 in Canada/$165 in the US) was purchased from Banana Republic a few weeks ago and probably the first Monogram dress I’ve seen in petite sizing. It is also part of the Anna Karenina collection and is still available online. The shoes are Christian Louboutin Proratas, which I bought in Hong Kong last Christmas. The fascinator was purchased froman event I attended earlier this year. It’s fairly small and doesn’t overwhelm me like the facscinators one sees on British celebrities would if I tried any!

Now, I don’t know if I’ll ever wear the fascinator, but the dress is a definite go. I have several holiday events upcoming, and the dress will definitely make an appearance at at least one of them!
On another note, above is one of my latest purchases (from Cyber Monday). It’s a coat dress/long cardigan from one of my favourite local brands, AIME. AIME is known for its seasonless pieces and recently opened a boutique in the Avenue Road and Davenport area here in Toronto. Pieces are also available for purchase online and are petite-friendly (smallest size is XXS). Styled outfit picture coming soon!
Special thanks to KTR Style for hosting this time .
