Plaid Pants Really Ain’t That Bad: An IFB Project

I was very glad to see the latest IFB challenge (#115!!), which asked posters to share a plaid look.  In the 90s, I had tons of plaid – it was the “thing” to wear in my earlier teens, after all.  It then all died down and it either went deep in my closet or disappeared completely.  Even as recent as last month, I was fairly hesitant to wear plaid.  I either associate it with my middle school/early high years or a certain Canadian hockey broadcasting personality known for his rudeness/political incorrectness (to be fair, hockey season did just start), so it was kind of negative.

So what got me to buy plaid pants?  The LOFT pants clinic, which I attended a few weeks ago.  At the event, I tried on several pairs of pants, including these plaid ankle pants, which I found very comfortable.  When paired with the right top and shoes, it does NOT give that un-PC hockey commentator look (especially since they’re pants and not blazers – ha!).  It can even be office-friendly.

The pants are currently available at LOFT, both in-store and online and in both regular and petite sizes.
