Poll: Should Media Spend More Time on Exclusively Specialty Size Brands?

Vogue Italia recently featured plus sized models on its cover, but was criticized by some as the models were not wearing clothes by exclusively-plus size designers.

I can’t believe how often I see posts from style websites about the lack of plus size models in the industry or criticize the use of lingerie when plus sized models are featured – this is a major issue for me as I often wonder why they just don’t promote specialty designers more often.  I realize money is an issue, but without lots of press, how on EARTH is a specialty size-exclusive designer supposed to get more people talking?   Is being specialized that bad a thing to do?  Is focusing on sizes that aren’t presented by tall, very-slim girls not considered worthy to discuss (even though the typical celebrity who wears these exact items aren’t shaped like runway models)?   Or, do you think that these brands are just not “worthy” to talk about by the fashion industry because it isn’t “fashion”?  We’d really like your opinion, so we’re asking you:

Should mainstream fashion media spend more time featuring exclusively specialty-sized brands?
