Rebecca Minkoff’s Boho Fun Spring 2013 Collection

Warm weather-friendly brightly coloured pieces mixed with whites dominate Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.  In addition, tends that were “it” in 2012 continue next season, including patterned pants. Though many of the pieces, especially the more flowy looks and soft, comfortable shorts, signal those who are young, fun and carefree – boho, if you will.  Favourite looks a black and grey skirt with fringes, paired with a bustier as well as a cobalt jacket, seen paired with a tomato red and white skirt in the show.

One point of criticism about the show itself, however, comes from styling.  the last piece (which is one of our favourites), was kind of ruined because it was extremely short on the 6′-ish model.  While the piece was supposed to be a dress, it looked more like a long tunic on her and would have been better off paired with skinny knee length shorts on someone her height or perhaps, modelled by someone closer to “average” height.
