Restaurant Review: 17 Steps

I usually don’t do restaurant reviews since beauty and style is more my thing but I do enjoy to eat and I recently found this great restaurant that I had to write about.

The name of the restaurant is called 17 Steps – it’s in the basement and it takes 17 steps to get down there – cute!  This quaint little restaurant offers a friendly casual atmosphere.  The menu is small but everything is made with love.  The prices are also extremely reasonable.

Dolmade

The dolmade (stuffed grape vines) were so flavourful and melted in your mouth.  Also very interesting were the truffle frites which had blue cheese. I’m not even a fan of blue cheese and these delicious.  Lamb chops and homemade gnocchi rounded out dinner. Everything was very simple but all the ingredients tasted fresh and each dish was memorable.

Chocolate Pâté

Tiramisu

As for dessert, tiramisu and chocolate pate were the perfect finishing touches.  The tiramisu had more cream than cake but the chocolate pâté was very smooth and creamy – a chocolate lovers dream.

Now offering weekend brunch, check out 17 Steps in the Bloor West Village area at 2241A – Bloor Street West Located Southwest of Runnymede and Bloor Street intersection near Runnymede Station.

You can also find them on Facebook and follow them on twitter.
