I was first introduced to Monica’s line at Fashion Week several seasons ago, when she presented a collection of seasonless, office-appropriate looks. For her upcoming collection, she has moved from the office to the resort for something that is very different.
The Nicole is one of several pieces in the collection
Her new collection, dubbed “Wanderlust,” consists of one-size-fits-most (size 0 to size 12) and comes in several different styles, ranging from short sleeved maxis like the Zoe to a wrap dress like the Daneuve trench and a halter dress called Nicole. The pieces were inspired by Monica’s travels to Turkey in 2011. Many are available in more than one fabric.

The fabric is lightweight, very luggage friendly and, like her previous collections, timeless classics that will last for years. And considering that the dresses are one-size-fits-most, people don’t really have to worry about over-eating while on vacation! Gained five pounds? The dress will likely still fit you!
Monica currently has a Kickstarter campaign which will run until April 21 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Support has been amazing, but there is still a bit to go! You can order one of her dresses there for a slightly discounted price. For those of us in the city, Monica is holding an event tonight (Wednesday, April 16) at her studio at 198A Davenport, just west of Avenue Road between 5-9 PM. If you are unable to make it tonight (as I will, unfortunately), Monica will also be at the Green Living Show, which will be held at the Direct Energy Centre from April 25 to 27 for people to try on.
