Ron White Kicks off 2011 Shoe Drive

Toronto’s footwear retailer, Ron White Shoes, known for its comfortable and stylish shoes,  kicked off its 15th Annual Shoe Drive on January 6 at their flagship Manulife Centre store.  This year, the drive will collect shoes at all Ron White locations in the Greater Toronto Area as well as the Avenues level of the Fairmony Royal York Hotel.  Shoes will then be cleanted and istrubted to shelters and organizations in need, including Dress for Success, Halton Place and Ve’ahavata. 

Each year, many celebrities have donated, including Matt Damon, Hilary Duff, Eric McCormack, Jeanne Beker and Ben Mulroney.  Their shoes, which were autographed, were on display at the store.  At the kick off this year, several celebrities were in attendance, including singer/songwriter Dan Hill, TV personalities Jennifer Valentyne and Amanda Lang  as well as Glenn Dixon and Jeanne Beker.  Over the past 15 years, the drive has collected and given over 21,000 shoes to men, women and children.  This year’s drive runs until February 13.
