Scrubs in the City fundraiser for SickKids was held again at Evergreen Brickworks. It is the 15th year of this event, and approximately 900 attended, with a record-breaking $800,000 raised. This year’s theme was London’s Calling and the dress code was Posh or Punk.
Event Co-Chairs were Lucinda Kogan and Molly Fitzpatrick. The décor was done in the colours of the Union Jack, with typical British food including Fish and Chips, as well as curry. There was pool soccer, a Spice Girls mock troupe, performances by The Mockers (a Beatles style band) and tartan everywhere.

All funds raised contribute to a 3T MRI machine at SickKids. Quieter, faster, bigger, and more powerful, it will make the MRI experience less stressful for kids and family. SickKids is Canada’s leading centre dedicated to improving children’s health and home to Canada’s largest, hospital-based child health research institute, caring for more than 100,000 patients every year.
Next year’s theme is Marrakesh.
