Located at Yonge and Davisville, Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, celebrated its Toronto opening with a reception Wednesday night. Guests and staff mingled while listening to live musicians playing near the entrance and nibbled on hors d’oeuvres by Food Dudes. Items served included mini sliders as well as salmon tartar on lotus root. In addition, guests were given a private viewing of time pieces from Sotheby’s, many of which will be part of an auction to be held in New York this June. Some of the pieces date back to 1910.
The realty branch of Sotheby’s represents properties around the world and has over 12,000 associates and Canadian offices include Vancouver, Oakville, Whistler, Westmount and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Sotheby’s has had a Canadian presence since its first sale outside of the UK in 1967.
